Quiver Distribution has released the official Detained trailer for its newest psychological thriller movie, starring Jack Ryan’s Abbie Cornish and The Boys’ Laz Alonso. The film is scheduled to make its debut on August 2 in theaters and on VOD.
“In the dead of night, Rebecca wakes in a decrepit precinct, accused of a hit-and-run,” reads the synopsis. “But a deadly scuffle reveals a sinister plot. With nowhere to turn, she must uncover the truth before it consumes her. But Rebecca harbors secrets darker than they know.”

What happens in the Detained trailer?
The trailer features Cornish’s Rebecca who suddenly gets involved in a hit-and-run after meeting someone at the bar. However, with no memory what really happened, she finds herself stuck in a strange police station with investigators determined to make her confess to the crime.
Detained is directed by Felipe Mucci from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jeremy Palmer. The film also stars Moon Bloodgood (Terminator Salvation), John Patrick Amedori (Dear White People), Justin H. Min (The Umbrella Academy) and Breeda Wool (Mr. Mercedes). In addition to leading the cast, Cornish and Alonso are also executive producing alongside Monica Sufar. It is produced by Ryan Scaringe.
