Searchlight Pictures‘ A Real Pain trailer has dropped, featuring Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin as cousins traveling to Poland. The upcoming comedy-drama is scheduled to make its debut in theaters on October 18, 2024.

The A Real Pain trailer highlights Eisenberg and Culkin’s adventures in Poland, as they find themselves in different kinds of scenarios due to their incompatible personalities. Following its world premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, the film currently holds a near-perfect Tomatometer score of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 53 reviews.
“Mismatched cousins David and Benji reunite for a tour through Poland to honor their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn when the odd couple’s old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history,” reads the synopsis.
A Real Pain is written and directed by Eisenberg, who’s also leading the cast alongside Emmy winner Kieran Culkin (Succession). Joining them are Will Sharpe (The White Lotus), Jennifer Grey (Dirty Dancing), Kurt Egyiawan (The Exorcist), Liza Sadovy (Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street), and Daniel Oreskes (Law & Order). It is produced by Emma Stone, Dave McCary, Ali Herting, Jennifer Semler, and Ewa Puszczyńska. This marks the latest collaboration between Eisenberg and Stone, who previously worked together in the Zombieland franchise.
