Netflix has dropped the first Damsel clip from its newest fantasy movie, starring Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown.
The video shows the awkward first meeting between Brown’s Elodie and the Royal Family, who has welcomed Elodie and her own family to the castle. The clip also highlights the film’s all-star cast consisting of Angela Bassett and Robin Wright. It is scheduled to make its debut on March 8.

What is Damsel about?
“A dutiful damsel agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to find the royal family has recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. Thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, she must rely on her wits and will to survive,” the synopsis reads.
Damsel is directed by Oscar-nominated Spanish filmmaker Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and adapted from a screenplay written by Wrath of the Titans scribe Dan Mazeau. The film also stars Nick Robinson as Prince Henry, Robin Wright as Queen Isabelle, Angela Bassett as Lady Bayford, Brooke Carter as Floria, and Ray Winstone as the King. In addition to starring, Brown is also serving as an executive producer through her PCMA Productions banner along with Zack Roth, Chris Castaldi, and Mazeau. Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum are also producing.
