ComingSoon is exclusively debuting the first trailer for Sex-Positive, a new raunchy, erotic romantic comedy about a sex commune.
Shared by Studio Dome, the first trailer for Sex-Positive introduces viewers to Virginia (Katherine Ellis), a woman who decides to move into a sex commune while trying to get closer to a boy she has a crush on.

What is Sex-Positive about?
“Virginia tumbles into a wild and thrilling new world of sexual liberation when she moves in with a group of polyamorous party animals, including the charming but commitment-phobic Jake,” the synopsis reads.
Along with Ellis (Carter & June, I Got It), Sex-Positive stars Aaron Quinn Long, Ashton Leigh, Belle Eclair, Christian Menace, Juliana Destefano, Jeez Loueez, Tierney Malloy, Anthony Del, and Ty Autry.
The movie is written and directed by Peter Woodward, who also stars in the movie. Woodward previously starred in 2000’s The Patriot alongside Mel Gibson and Heath Ledger and 2007’s National Treasure: Book of Secrets with Nicolas Cage.
Woodward also voiced Ra’s Al Ghul in Batman: The Brave and the Bold, which ran from 2008 to 2011. Additional acting credits include 2013’s The Fall of the Essex Boys, 2014’s Dangerous Mind of a Hooligan, 2016’s The Comedian’s Guide to Survival, and 2020’s Stealing Chaplin, among others. He also played Lord William Smythh in Pennyworth and appeared in an episode of Netflix’s Altered Carbon.
Sex-Positive marks Woodward’s first feature film as a director, though he’s previously written 2007’s Closing the Ring, 2010’s Unthinkable, 2012’s Anything But Christmas, and more.
The movie is produced by Ben Matheny, while Gabrielle Almagor, Fouad Zeton, and Woodward serve as executive producers, Jon Perry as an associate producer, and Laura Singleterry as line producer.
Sex-Positive releases in select United States theaters on February 9, 2024, from Studio Dome.
