Netflix has released a new The Brothers Sun trailer, previewing the upcoming gangster action dramedy series starring Michelle Yeoh, which debuts on January 4, 2024.
The new trailer outlines the story of the show, which sees Yeoh having to tell her children that her family is the head of a criminal organization. The trailer also showcases some of the action setpieces set to feature in the show, including a variety of fights.

What do we know about The Brothers Sun?
“When the head of a powerful Taiwanese triad is shot by a mysterious assassin, his eldest son, legendary killer Charles ‘Chairleg’ Sun (Justin Chien) heads to Los Angeles to protect his mother, Eileen (Michelle Yeoh), and his naïve younger brother, Bruce (Sam Song Li) — who’s been completely sheltered from the truth of his family until now,” reads the series‘ synopsis. “But as Taipei’s deadliest societies and a new rising faction go head-to-head for dominance — Charles, Bruce and their mother must heal the wounds caused by their separation and figure out what brotherhood and family truly mean before one of their countless enemies kills them all.”
Co-creator Brad Fulchuk, who created the show with Byron Wu, is serving as showrunner. The series stars Michelle Yeoh, Highdee Kuan, Sam Song Li, Justin Chien, Jenny Yang, Joon Lee, Alexis Rhee, Johnny Kou, Ron Yuan, and more.
