Voltage Pictures has dropped the official trailer for Beautiful Disaster, the upcoming romantic comedy starring Dylan Sprouse and Virginia Gardner. The film is scheduled to make its debut in theaters on April 12.
The video highlights the blossoming college romance between Gardner’s college freshman Abby and Sprouse’s underground fighter Travis. After losing a bet, Abby must live with Travis for a month.
Beautiful Disaster is directed by Roger Kumble from a screenplay written by Kumble and Jamie McGuire, based on McGuire’s novel of the same name. The film stars Dylan Sprouse (The Suite Life of Zack and Cody), Virginia Gardner (Marvel’s Runaways), Austin North (Outer Banks), Libe Barer (Sneaky Pete), Neil Bishop (Killer Clergy), Micky Dartford (The Larkins), Jack Hesketh (Besa), Declan Laird (Big Dogs), Trevor Von Uden (Barbarian), Brian Austin Green (90210) and Rob Estes (Melrose Place).
“The film follows Abby Abernathy, a college freshman, is eager to focus on her studies and start a new social life,” reads the synopsis. “But her plans are quickly derailed when she meets Travis “Mad Dog” Maddox, a bad-boy brawler and campus playboy. Travis is exactly what Abby needs – and wants – to avoid. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his charm, Travis offers her a simple bet that makes them roommates for a month. Little do they know that they may have met their match.”
Beautiful Disaster is produced by Kumble, Mark Clayman, Taylor Conrod, Donald De Line, Jonathan Deckter, David Shojai, and Brian Pitt, with McGuire, Nicolas Chartier, and Lucas Jarach serving as executive producers.
