New Films From Japan Screening Trailer Previews 5 Festival Favorites

The Agency for Cultural Affairs Film Project and IFC Film Center have released a trailer previewing the five films that will be playing at the IFC Film Center in New York City from February 10-16.

The listed movies are A Man (directed by Kei Ishikawa), Thousand and One Nights (directed by Nao Kubota), Yamabuki (directed by Juichiro Yamasaki), The Zen Diary (directed by Yuji Nakae), and Small, Slow but Steady (directed by Shô Miyake).

“New Films from Japan series is the latest presentation of the ACA Cinema Project, representing the buzzworthy films of contemporary Japanese screen entertainment and highlighting the work of award-winning and celebrated filmmakers from Japan to film fans, industry insiders, dealmakers, and press in the United States,” reads the event’s description. “With these film series, ACA works to promote Japanese cinema internationally.”

Tickets for the New Films From Japan screenings cost $17 for adults, $14 for seniors and children, $12 for IFC members, and $13 for students. The screenings will occur at the IFC Film Center on 323 Sixth Ave at West 3rd St. in New York, NY.
