Searchlight Pictures has released an official trailer for Banshees of Inisherin, the upcoming drama starring Emmy winner Brendan Gleeson and Golden Globe winner Colin Farrell. The movie is scheduled to hit the theaters on October 21.
The film marks the latest collaboration between the award-winning actors, who previously starred together in the 2008 dark crime comedy In Bruges. The upcoming film also reunites them with director Martin McDonagh.

The Banshees of Inisherin trailer, which you can check out below, features Farrell’s Pádraic, who is shocked and confused when his best friend Colm suddenly gives him the cold shoulder. It teases all the ways he’ll try to repair his friendship with Colm.
“Set on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland, the film follows lifelong friends Pádraic and Colm, who find themselves at an impasse when Colm unexpectedly puts an end to their friendship,” reads the synopsis. “A stunned Pádraic, aided by his sister Siobhán and troubled young islander Dominic, endeavors to repair the relationship, refusing to take no for an answer. But Pádraic’s repeated efforts only strengthen his former friend’s resolve and when Colm delivers a desperate ultimatum, events swiftly escalate, with shocking consequences.”

The Banshees of Inisherin is written and directed by Oscar winner Martin McDonagh, who’s best known for directing Seven Psychopaths and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. The film stars Brendan Gleeson (Harry Potter films), Colin Farrell (The Batman), Barry Keoghan (Eternals), and Kerry Condon (Better Call Saul).
The Banshees of Inisherin is produced by McDonagh, Peter Czernin and Graham Broadbent.
