A new official trailer for the upcoming Expired movie has been released, highlighting the futuristic thriller’s story of a hitman and his chance meeting with a mysterious woman.

The movie stars Ryan Kwanten, Hugo Weaving, and Jillian Nguyen, and is directed by Ivan Sen. The sci-fi thriller is written by Sen as well.

“Ryan Kwanten (True Blood) and Hugo Weaving (The Matrix series) star in this futuristic thriller about a hitman who meets a mysterious woman and comes down with a deadly illness,” reads the official synopsis for the upcoming film. Not much else is known about the film, but the visuals and style of the film alone seem to hint at drawing some heavy inspiration from the likes of Blade Runner and other sci-fi classics.

Expired is set to release on March 18, 2022, and will be available in select theaters as well as on-demand services from Lionsgate.
