HBO Max has released a brand new promo reel for their highly-anticipated TV shows and films that are set to debut later this year and in 2022, featuring the first footage of upcoming new and returning shows. It provides us our first look at upcoming HBO Max originals shows such as James Gunn’s Peacemaker, starring John Cena; the Sex and the City revival, And Just Like That… which includes the return of Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis; and creator Mindy Kaling’s newest coming-of-age comedy The Sex Lives of College Girls.
The video, which you can check out in the player below, teases the arrival of new seasons of acclaimed shows including Succession, Insecure, Euphoria, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Gossip Girl. It also continues to highlight Warner Bros. Pictures and the streamer’s remaining same-day releases which are Denis Villeneuve’s long-awaited Dune remake, the upcoming biopic drama King Richard, and Lana Wachowski’s fourth installment to the Keanu Reeves-led sci-fi franchise, The Matrix Resurrections.

Written and created by James Gunn, Peacemaker is expected to be set after the events of the recently released DC film The Suicide Squad. It will now follow John Cena as the titular DC villain, who is being described as the world’s biggest douchebag. He is a man who believes in peace at any cost — no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.
Joining Cena are Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, Robert Patrick, Freddie Stroma, and more. The series is scheduled to make its debut in January 2022.

And Just Like That… follows Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.
The Sex and the City revival series will also feature the return of Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, Willie Garson, Julie Halston, and more along with the introduction of new characters including Sara Ramirez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, and Isaac Cole Powell.
