ComingSoon is excited to premiere an exclusive Crime Story clip from Saban Films and Paramount’s upcoming crime thriller. The film stars Academy Award winners Richard Dreyfuss (The Goodbye Girl, Jaws) and Mira Sorvino (Mighty Aphrodite, Mimic). Crime Story will arrive in theaters, on demand, and digital on August 13. Dreyfuss plays a retired mob boss that goes back to his old ways after being the victim of a home robbery.
“When ex-mob boss Ben Myers (Dreyfuss) is targeted in a home robbery, he goes on a deadly rampage of vengeance,” reads the official synopsis. “But with his family caught in the crosshairs, Myers must finally face the consequences of his dark past in this action-packed crime thriller.”

The clip introduces us to the complicated family dynamic in the film. “I went legit twelve years ago thanks to a congressman who owed me a favor and now my daughter practically works for that congressman as his police liaison,” says Dreyfuss in the clip. “She and I are not close.”
Crime Story is written and directed by Adam Lipsius, who also served as a producer. The film also features Cress Williams, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Derek Russo, Haviland Stillwell, and Andrea Frankle. The movie was produced by Kristopher Wynne, Alex Mace, and Tara Ansley, while the associate producers are John DeFazio, John Grace, and Terrence Kiriokos.
