Sony Pictures has dropped a Venom: Let There Be Carnage trailer for its upcoming Marvel sequel starring Tom Hardy and Woody Harrelson. The video, which you can check out in the player below, features Eddie Brock as he continues struggling to control the titular symbiote’s aggression in order to avoid detection from powerful people. It also highlights the Carnage transformation of Harrelson’s villainous Cletus Kasady, who seemingly feels a strange connection to Eddie. In addition to action-packed sequences teasing the Venom and Carnage showdown, it also provides us a glimpse into Eddie and Venom’s hilarious banters.
The Venom sequel is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters this fall on September 24, which pits it against Universal Pictures’ forthcoming film adaptation of the acclaimed Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage sees the return of Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom, one of Marvel’s most complex characters. Joining are Michelle Williams as Anne Weying, Woody Harrelson as the maniacal serial killer Cletus Kasady/Carnage, and Naomie Harris as Frances Barrison/Shriek. It will also feature Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, and Peggy Lu.
The sequel is directed by Andy Serkis from a screenplay written by Kelly Marcel, based on a story by Hardy and Marcel. Producers are Hardy, Marcel, Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker.

Since its debut in 2018, Venom was directed by Ruben Fleischer. It also starred Riz Ahmed as Carlton Drake/Riot. Despite receiving negative reviews from critics, the film had still earned a worldwide gross of over $800 million.
