Black Widow TV Spots Feature More Footage of the Family & Taskmaster

Marvel Studios has released another set of Black Widow TV spots for their highly-anticipated MCU film, starring Scarlett Johansson, who has portrayed the character in seven movies. The long-delayed film is currently scheduled to debut in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access on Friday, July 9.

The videos, which you can check out below, provide us with more action-packed footage involving Natasha and her badass Russian family as they take on the Taskmaster together. It also teases Natasha and Yelena’s childhood as well as some of the Red Guardian’s funny and charming scenes with the rest of the family.

In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.

The film will be led by Scarlett Johansson is David Harbour as Alexei/Red Guardian, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, and Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff. Joining them are William Hurt as Thaddeus Ross, Ray Winstone as Dreykov, and O-T Fagbenle as Rick Mason.

Set between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, the upcoming film will serve as the first feature in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4.

Black Widow is directed by Cate Shortland (Lore) from a screenplay written by WandaVision head writer Jac Schaeffer, who is continuing her partnership with the studio after recently signing an overall deal with Marvel Studios and 20th Television.
