In the Earth is expected to deliver a timely story set in a world that searches for a cure to a disastrous virus as a scientist and park scout venture deep in the forest for a routine equipment run. Through the night, their journey becomes a terrifying voyage through the heart of darkness, the forest coming to life around them.

The English filmmaker is no stranger to the horror genre as he was first known for his breakout works on psychological horror films such as Kill ListA Field in England and a segment of The ABCs of Death. The film stars Joel Fry (Yesterday, Game of Thrones), Ellora Torchia (The SplitMidsommar), Hayley Squires (I, Daniel Blake) and BAFTA Award Winner Reece Shearsmith (Inside No. 9, Psychoville).
