David Bowie is one of the most seminal legends in music history; but who was the man behind the many faces? In 1971, a 24-year-old fledgling David Bowie (Johnny Flynn) is sent to America to promote his newest record, The Man Who Sold the World. Leaving behind his pregnant wife Angie (Jena Malone), Bowie and his band embark on a makeshift coast-to-coast promotional tour with struggling Mercury Records publicist Rob Oberman (Marc Maron).
Directed by Gabriel Range who co-wrote the screenplay with Christopher Bell, Stardust also stars Golden Globe nominee Jena Malone (Hope, The Neon Demon) and Marc Maron (Glow, Almost Famous). The film is produced by Paul Van Carter, Nick Taussig, Matt Code, Daniel Hubbard, and Julie Strifler.

After 27 studio albums, 7 Grammy wins, and countless hit songs later, David Bowie is still considered one of the greatest artists of all time who became a pop culture phenomenon due to the unforgettable changes he brought to the music industry with his unique styles and innovative sound. Bowie also starred in a number of iconic films such as the 1986 cult classic Labyrinth; Martin Scorsese’s The Last Temptation of Christ; and 1976’s sci-fi film The Man Who Fell to Earth.
