Quiver Distribution has released the first trailer and poster to the uplifting film Astronaut, starring veteran actor Richard Dreyfuss. The film hails from director Shelagh McLeod (One Thing Left to Do). Check out the trailer and poster below!

Angus, a lonely widower, has his long-extinguished dream to become an astronaut reignited when a national competition is announced. The prize? One ticket for a trip to space! Way over the age-limit, Angus alters his birthdate so he can enter the competition. Against all odds, but with help coming from his dysfunctional family, he must battle against preconceptions, ill health and time, to win the ticket and take the trip of his dreams.

Dreyfuss has appeared in a number of classic films including American Graffiti, Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Goodbye Girl (for which he won an Oscar), Stand by Me, Stakeout, Always, What About Bob?, and Mr. Holland’s Opus, among others. Astronaut is one of a number of projects he has on his docket, with the others being Daughter of the Wolf and Killing Winston Jones.
Astronaut hits theaters and digital on demand July 26.
