Standing on the precipice of adulthood, a group of friends navigates new relationships, while reexamining others, during their final summer before college. That’s the setting of the new Netflix coming-of-age tale, The Last Summer. You can check out the trailer in the player below!
The film’s set in Chicago, which gives The Last Summer a little bit of a John Hughes vibe, following a group of friends realizes their lives are about to go on vastly different paths, and have to come to terms with how things will be different as the cold, indifferent reality of adulthood (or, at the very least, college) forces those carefree childhood days to become nothing but fading nostalgia.
