Celebrate the release of director Shane Black’s The Predator on home video with a bloody, gruesome holiday special. When a Predator shows up at the North Pole, he finds that Santa and his trusty elves and reindeer might be a bit more formidable than he’d previously expected.
The Predator Holiday Special first aired on Comedy Central on December 19 during an airing of Bojack Horseman, and is now available online to enjoy whenever you want. Told in the same stop-motion animation style as the Rankin/Bass classics. It’s also filled with homages to the 1987 original. And one from Home Alone, for good measure. You can check out the special in the post below!
The cast of The Predator includes Boyd Holbrook (Logan), Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight), Jacob Tremblay (Room, Wonder), Keegan-Michael Key (Tomorrowland), Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse), Sterling K. Brown (This is Us), Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones), Thomas Jane (The Mist), Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, and Yvonne Strahovski (The Handmaid’s Tale).
The original Predator was directed by John McTiernan and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as the leader of a United States special forces team that comes under attack from an alien entity that prizes the thrill of the hunt above all else. It was followed by a direct sequel, Predator 2, in 1990 before crossing over with Fox’s Alien franchise for two additional sequels, Alien vs. Predator and AvP: Requiem. In 2010, Nimrod Antal helmed a reboot with a new feature, Predators.
The Predator is available for purchase on home video now.
