‘Jeepers Creepers 2’ Movie Review (2003)

My God, what is it with people that they think they need to take a sub-par horror flick and make a sequel? I also have no idea whether or not these people watch these movies before they are released to the public.

In a summer where sequels have become the powerhouse Jeepers Creepers 2 follows suit with Tomb Raider and produces a poor sequel to follow up a poor original movie.

Jeepers Creepers is about a monstrous entity, called The Creeper, that only is allowed to hunt for 23 days every 23 years, and oh boy is he hungry for some humans. It is heard on the radio in the early going in the movie that the death toll for the most recent rampage is up to 300 and we find ourselves following a group of varsity basketball players, cheerleaders, and coaches on their way home from winning the championship game.

Their bus is traveling the East 9 Highway, the stretch of land made famous in the first flick, and it is soon crippled by an odd homemade weapon made of teeth and bones.

Through the process of terrorizing and tormenting these young kids the Creeper licks the windows of the bus, pulls off his own head and replaces it with the head of one of the kids, and withstands any and every attack brought on him.

The winged creature from hell, should just return to where he came from, but it is also left open for a third in the series, I smell straight to video.

The screening audience laughed numerous times, clapped when annoying characters were killed, and had big smiles on their faces as they were leaving. Not really the effect you are looking for in a horror movie, just an opinion.
