David Fincher (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) is in talks to direct Gone Girl for Twentieth Century Fox Film. Based on the novel by Gillian Flynn, the film will be produced by Reese Witherspoon, Bruna Papandrea and Leslie Dixon. The book is described as follows:
