Back in November, it was reported that MGM has plans to remake the 1976 horror classic The Town That Dreaded Sundown. Today, ShockTillYouDrop.com has learned that Alfonso Gomez-Rejon is in talks to direct with Ryan Murphy and Jason Blum producing.
Charles B. Pierce directed the original tale, which was loosely based on a true story. The film follows Texarkana residents terrorized by the “Phantom Killer” during the late ’40s.
In addition to directing episodes of “American Horror Story,” Gomez-Rejon served as the second unit director on Ben Affleck’s Argo.
