There’s a potential tease at a future Batman project today as Fusible points out that someone has been registering more than a dozen similar domain names, ranging from ArkhamUniverse.com to BatmanArkhamBegins.com. Although it’s pure speculation at this point, some fans have already theorized that these URLs might point to the next big screen adventure of the Dark Knight.
The full list of registered domain names reads as follows:
arkhamuniverse.com (Arkham Universe)
batmanarkahmuniverse.com (Batman Arkham Universe)
batmanarkhamarises.com (Batman Arkham Arises)
batmanarkhambegins.com (Batman Arkham Begins)
batmanarkhamdarkknight.com (Batman Arkham Dark Knight)
batmanarkhamknight.com (Batman Arkham Knight)
batmanarkhamlegend.com (Batman Arkham Legend)
batmanarkhamlegends.com (Batman Arkham Legends)
batmanarkhamnight.com (Batman Arkham Night)
batmanarkhamorigins.com (Batman Arkham Origins)
batmanarkhamstories.com (Batman Arkham Stories)
darkknightarkham.com (Dark Knight Arkham)
dcarkhamuniverse.com (DC Arkham Universe)
dcarkhamverse.com (DC Arkhamverse)
thearkhamuniverse.com (The Arkham Universe)
Every one of the URLs was registered through an anonymous third-party vendor, MarkMonitor, a company that Warner Bros. has used in the past to register official film websites. That being said, the company is a popular one for other studios as well, as evidenced by Paramount Pictures’ registration for Star Trek Into Darkness last year.
Although rumors have persisted that the next Batman film could be inspired by the Arkham Ayslum video game series, the possibility is equally likely that the new list of titles are being put aside for a video game sequel. Regardless of what this project turns out to be, check back for updates as they become available.
