Iron Sky director Timo Vuorensola has announced plans to adapt the BOOM! Studios comic book series Jeremiah Harm for the big screen. The 2006 series ran for five issues and is officially described as follows:
From the original “Lobo” writing team of Keith Giffen and Alan Grant! But put your “bastiches” away, this ain’t no comedy – just hard hitting science fiction action with a gritty tone and a brutal anti-hero as the lead! When three of the galaxy’s most fearsome criminals escape confinement on a prison planet and wind up on Earth, the authorities have no choice but to free the most wanted man in the universe – Jeremiah Harm – to track these fugitives down and stop them. He doesn’t love you, he doesn’t want to be your friend, he isn’t your super-hero – and God help you if you find yourself in Harm’s way!
Vuorensola will reteam with producers Arnold Rifkin, Ross Richie and Tero Kaukomaa and will work from a screenplay by Dalan Musson. Although the project has not yet started production, the team has already prepared a promo teaser that you can check out in the player below.
The film is also seeking fan participation to help design alien creatures. You can read all about how to submit your ideas at the official site.
