Regina Hall to star in Will Packer’s Little alongside Issa Rae
Regina Hall (Black-ish) is joining Golden Globe nominee Issa Rae (Insecure) in Will Packer’s (Ride Along 2, Breaking In) upcoming comedy Little for Universal Pictures, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie is based on a pitch by Black-ish star Marsai Martin who stars in the project and will executive produce alongside Hall and Josh Martin.
Little centers on a woman who gets the chance to relive the carefree life as her younger self (Martin) when the pressures of adulthood become too much. Tina Gordon (Drumline) is directing the feature from the latest draft written by Camilla Blackett (Fresh Off the Boat, New Girl) who is working on a rewrite from the first draft of the screenplay initially penned by Tracy Oliver.
Packer and James Lopez (Girls Trip) are set to produce via Packer’s Universal-based Will Packer Productions alongside Black-ish creator Kenya Barris.
Hall’s upcoming projects also include the crime drama adaptation The Hate U Give, the Seth Rogen’s TV movie comedy Ball Street, and the 2019 reboot of the 1970’s action film, Shaft, starring Samuel L. Jackson, Alexandra Shipp, Avan Jogia, Jessie T. Usher, Richard Roundtree, and Method Mad.
