Joan Allen has secured a leading role in the upcoming Stephen King adaptation A Good Marriage. The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Peter Askin (Trumbo) is attached to direct the project, based on a short story that appeared in the 2010 anthology “Full Dark, Zero Stars.” On his official site, King describes the tale as follows:
Darcy Anderson learns more about her husband of over twenty years than she would have liked to know when she stumbles literally upon a box under a worktable in their garage.
Allen most recently appeared in Universal Pictures’ The Bourne Legacy.
King himself provided the screenplay for the adaptation and Will Battersby is producing alongside Askin.
