Daniel Craig is set to return as James Bond for at least two more films after the upcoming Skyfall, reports MI6. That would bring Craig’s total number of Bond films up to five and the total number of EON-produced films to 25. The site also reports that the 24th installment is tentatively planned for 2014 and that both it and the 25th adventure will continue the co-financing partnership between Sony Pictures and MGM.
With the November 9th release of Skyfall, Craig officially surpasses Timothy Dalton’s two Bond appearances and would, with all five films released, pass Pierce Brosnan’s four as well. Sean Connery and Roger Moore remain tied with seven (although one of Connery’s was in Never Say Never Again, a non EON production and oftentimes not considered “official”). George Lazenby remains the sole actor to have only played the part once in the EON franchise.
