With legendary musician’s 35th studio album, “Tempest,” set to bow on September 11th, Bob Dylan has released a brand new music video featuring the first track, “Duquesne Whistle.” While we don’t normally cover music releases at ComingSoon.net, the below video (which premiered today at The Guardian) is decidedly cinematic in its own right, with a storyline that’s equal parts City Lights and Goodfellas.
The video also includes a brief appearance by actor Joel Edgerton, who recently appeared in The Odd Life of Timothy Green and who can be seen coming up in Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty and The Great Gatsby. That’s because “Duquesne Whistle” is directed by Joel’s brother, Nash Edgerton, an actor and stuntman who previously worked with Dylan on the similarly darkly comic videos for “Beyond Here Lies Nothing” and “Must Be Santa.”
