Following yesterday’s news that Sharlto Copley (District 9, The A-Team) was joining Open Grave, comes word that Thomas Kretschmann (King Kong, Wanted, Valkyrie), Josie Ho (Contagion, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li), Joseph Morgan (“The Vampire Diaries,” Immortals), Erin Richards (“Breaking In”) and Max Wrottesley (Hugo) are on board as well.
To be directed by Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego (Apollo 18), the Atlas Independent project is the haunting tale of six desperate individuals who wake up with amnesia-like symptoms next to an open grave of rotting bodies in a remote, desolate forest. With nowhere to turn, they are forced to piece together the mysterious, and ultimately horrifying, set of circumstances that brought them together before its too late.
Atlas Independent’s William Green and Aaron Ginsburg are producing with Michael Wunderman. Production will begin on May 4th 2012. The film is being produced in association with 852 films.
