American Gods’ Pablo Schreiber is the latest star to join the Dwayne Johnson actioner Skyscraper
Pablo Schreiber, who just finished his a first season as leprechaun Mad Sweeney on Starz’s acclaimed American Gods, has, per Deadline, joined the cast of the upcoming Dwayne Johnson actioner, Skyscraper. The film, which will re-team Johnson with his Central Intelligence director Rawson Marshall Thurber, also recently added Chin Han (Ghost in the Shell, Independence Day: Resurgence) and Neve Campbell (Scream, House of Cards) to its cast.

A Universal Pictures and Legendary production, Skyscraper stars Johnson as former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran Will Ford, who now assesses security for skyscrapers. On assignment in China he finds the tallest, safest building in the world suddenly ablaze, and he’s been framed for it. A wanted man on the run, Will must find those responsible, clear his name and somehow rescue his family who is trapped inside the building… above the fire line.
Written and directed by Thurber, the 3D action-thriller is produced by Beau Flynn (San Andreas, Baywatch), Johnson and Thurber. Skyscraper’s executive producers are Dany Garcia (Baywatch, Ballers) and Hiram Garcia (San Andreas, Central Intelligence). Wendy Jacobson (San Andreas), meanwhile, is set to serve as co-producer.
Skyscraper will open in theaters on Friday, July 13, 2018.
Pablo Schreiber is also well known for playing George ‘Pornstache’ Mendez on Netflix‘s hit series Orange Is the New Black. On the big screen, Schreiber was recently part of Michael Bay’s true 2016 military thriller, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.
