Hannover House and Patriot Pictures Team Up

Hannover House and Patriot Pictures announced today they are teaming up for a financing, production and distribution deal, starting with All’s Faire in Love, opening this Friday, and continuing with Vengeance: A Love Story:

Hannover House, the entertainment division of Target Development Group, Inc. has commenced discussions and negotiations with Patriot Pictures regarding the financing, production and distribution of a variety of high-profile, theatrical projects. With less than a week to go until the theatrical launch of the first venture between the two companies, enthusiasm is high to expand on the mutually beneficial relationship. Patriot Pictures is the production and releasing company headed by entertainment industry financier and producer, Michael Mendelsohn.

The first venture between Hannover House and Patriot Pictures is the theatrical release of the $11-million dollar romantic comedy, “All’s Faire In Love,” starring Christina Ricci, Cedric The Entertainer, Owen Benjamin, Ann-Margret and Matthew Lillard. The film opens in theatres October 28, under an exclusive exhibition agreement with Regal Entertainment Group, Inc., the nation’s largest theatre circuit. Hannover House is handling all theatrical duties for Patriot Pictures, with plans set for a Valentine’s Day themed home video release.

Patriot Pictures has an impressive slate of major features in development and pre-production, including “Vengeance: A Love Story” based on the best-selling novel by Joyce Carol Oates. The action thriller stars Samuel L. Jackson, Abigail Breslin, Dianne Wiest and Heather Graham, and is in final pre-production before principal photography. Patriot is planning to proceed with four major feature productions for 2012, all of which could potentially go to Hannover House for domestic distribution under the proposed pact.

Hannover House is a full-service entertainment distribution company, with direct relationships with all major theatrical exhibition circuits. The company also operates its own home video division, and on selected titles, has partnered with 20th Century Fox Home Video, Inc.

Mendelsohn’s Patriot Pictures produced and financed “All’s Faire In Love” with Ron Singer and Scott Reed. Mendelsohn himself has arranged production financing for over 303 films. He was Executive Producer of the HBO documentary “Genocide in Darfur – Sand and Sorrow” with George Clooney that aired in the winter of 2007; executive produced and co-financed “Lord of War,” released by Lions Gate Films (directed by Andrew Niccol and starring Nicolas Cage and Ethan Hawke); and “Material Girls,” released by MGM (directed by Martha Coolidge and starring Hilary Duff and Anjelica Huston). Mendelsohn has also arranged financing for such major blockbuster films like Beacon Pictures and Wolfgang Peterson’s “Air Force One,” (starring Harrison Ford); Lakeshore Entertainment-produced “The Mothman Prophecies” (starring Richard Gere) and “Underworld” (starring Kate Beckinsale); the Wachowski Brothers’ “The Matrix” (starring Keanu Reeves); Icon Pictures-produced “What Women Want” (starring Mel Gibson), and Quentin Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs” (starring Harvey Keitel). Films currently in pre-production at Patriot include “Vengeance: A Love Story”, starring Samuel L. Jackson, James Woods, Abigail Breslin, and Dianne Wiest, to be directed by Harold Becker and Maxim Magazines’ Halloween.
