Uma Thurman Joins Lars von Trier’s House That Jack Built

According to Screen Daily, controversial writer/director Lars von Trier (Melancholia, Antichrist) is set to re-team with his Nymphomaniac star Uma Thurman (Kill Bill, Burnt) for his ambitious serial killer thriller The House That Jack Built. Siobhan Fallon Hogan (We Need To Talk About Kevin) has also joined the cast, after previously appearing in the director’s Dogville and Dancer in the Dark.

The film is currently lensing in Sweden with a cast that also includes Matt Dillon (Wayward Pines), Riley Keough (Mad Max: Fury Road), Sofie Gråbøl (The Killing) and Bruno Ganz (Downfall, Unknown).

The House That Jack Built will reportedly focus on a serial killer (Dillon) and will be seen from the murderer’s point-of-view. Thurman and Hogan will both play two of his victims.

Originally planned as an eight-part, English-language TV series, the film is produced by Louise Vesth for Zentropa Group in a co-production with Film i Väst, Copenhagen Film Fund and Slot Machine.
