Maintenance Moves to DreamWorks Animation

It’s been years since the news broke that Warner Bros. was developing the comic book series Maintenance as a feature film. Now, The Hollywood Reporter brings word that the rights have moved to DreamWorks Animation.

The series, written by Jim Massey and illustrated by Robbi Rodriguez, follows the exploits of two janitors who work at Terrormax Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of weapons and doomsday devices to supervillains.

Originally planned as a live-action feature for McG to direct, Maintenance was being scripted by Joe Ballarini. It is uncertain what elements, if any, of the WB project will transfer to DreamWorks Animation, but we’ll continue to bring updates as the project develops.
