Steve Carell has found another project in the form of the comedy script Imagine, reports Vulture.
Imagine will focus on a fictional rock star who discovers that Carell’s character is secretly his son. The title is a nod to the source of the news; a never-opened letter sent from John Lennon.
The film is planned as the directorial debut for its screenwriter, Dan Fogelman, who also provided the script for Carell’s next, Crazy. Stupid. Love. (just retitled, the same article claims, from the original, Crazy, Stupid, Love). Directed by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, that film is slated to open April 22, 2011 and will feature Carell on the other side of the parental spectrum, playing a father trying to forge a relationship with his children.
