David O. Russell will team with Vince Vaughn for his next project, Old St. Louis, reports Vulture.
Russell, who was formerly attached to Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, has apparently decided to leave the project due to scheduling issues with that film’s would-be star, Natalie Portman. Instead, Russell will focus on Old St. Louis, which features Vaughn as a traveling toy salesman reconnecting with his daughter.
Early reports on Old St. Louis placed Scarlett Johansson in the female lead and linked Chloe Moretz to the role of the daughter. Now, Vulture suggests that Johansson will be unable to make the stated start date this spring, but that Moretz may again be aboard the project.
