Relative newcomer Taylor Schilling has lined up a starring role in The Lucky One, reports Variety.
The film will adapt the Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name about a Marine (to be played by Zac Efron) who, after multiple tours in Iraq, returns to the United States determined to track down a woman he’s never met but whose photograph has been his good luck charm.
Schilling starred in the short-lived NBC medical drama “Mercy,” which completed its first and final season earlier this year and will play the lead in the upcoming adaptation of Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged.
The Lucky One will be directed by Scott Hicks and is being prepared at Warner Bros.
