Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski have been named as the screenwriters for Tim Burton’s upcoming The Addams Family by Deadline and will also see Burton serve as a producer on their project, Big Eyes.
Alexander and Karaszewski previously worked with Burton on 1994’s Ed Wood. The pair will now oversee writing duties on the stop motion adaptation of Charles Addam’s single-panel cartoon which was famously adapted into a 1960’s television series and, in turn, made into a series of live-action films in the 1990’s.
Big Eyes is an already-written project based on the work of artist Margaret Keane and her 60’s legal battle against her one-time husband who made a fortune selling prints of her paintings.
