Scoopers ‘tidus1117’ and ‘Tommy’ alerted us that Puerto Rico newspaper El Nuevo Dia reported yesterday that Fast Five, the fifth installment of the “Fast and Furious” franchise, will shoot on the island from July to August.
Streets, neighborhoods and local offices will serve to represent Brazil, a country where most of the plot takes place, said the newspaper.
In the film, Dom (Vin Diesel) and Brian (Paul Walker) are fugitives being pursued by relentless lawmen. Diesel and Walker are being joined by Dwayne Johnson, TJ Hassan, Tego Calderon and Don Omar.
Directed by Justin Lin from a script by Chris Morgan, the Universal Pictures release hits theaters on June 10, 2011.
