
Titles arriving March 1 include Creed, The Night Before, The Danish Girl and more!

Creed, the critically-acclaimed Rocky franchise sequel starring Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan, comes home March 1, joined by Academy Award winners Room and The Danish Girl (winning best actress for Brie Larson and best supporting actress for Alicia Vikander, respectively). Meanwhile, Tom Hardy delivers a double performance in Legend, while the Christmas trio of Seth Rogen, Anthony Mackie and Joseph Gordon-Levitt come together in the holiday comedy drama The Night Before.
Other recent big screen releases arriving March 1 include Drew Barrymore and Toni Colette in Catherine Hardwicke’s Miss You Already, Paolo Sorrentino’s Youth, and indie horror thriller The Boy alongside the documentary Sunshine Superman, about BASE jumping pioneer Carl Boenish.
A trio of direct to Blu-ray family releases arrive March 1 with the animated films Barbie Spy Squad, LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League – Cosmic Clash and (on DVD only) LEGO Star Wars Droid Tales.
Some great collector’s titles also debut this week with the 3D release of the 1954 killer robot flick Gog, a deluxe special edition of the bizarre 1982 slasher Pieces and the first ever HD release of Strange Brew, the 1983 feature film starring Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas as Bob and Doug McKenzie.
Flicker Alley has a rare treat for cinephiles with L’Inhumaine, a stylish, avant garde silent science fiction film directed in 1924 by Marcel L’Herbier.
Small screen releases hitting March 1 include the final season of Strike Back, the third season of The Americans (on DVD only) and the Syfy miniseries adaptation of Arthur C. Clarke’s Childhood’s End.
Debuting via Digital HD this week is the family adventure Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, Todd Haynes’ acclaimed Carol and the Tina Fey and Amy Poehler team-up, Sisters.
