Jennifer Aniston & Jason Bateman reunite for Office Christmas Party
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman are reuniting with directing duo Josh Gordon and Will Speck for DreamWorks Pictures’ holiday comedy Office Christmas Party. The two stars, as well as the director pair, previously collaborated on 2010’s sperm donor comedy The Switch.
Also joining the cast of Office Christmas Party are hot comedy names T.J. Miller of Deadpool and Kate McKinnon of this summer’s Ghostbusters reboot. The story, in development at the studio since 2010, is said to center on an ensemble of characters at an office party gone wrong.
The most recent script was penned by the team of Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky (Bad Teacher) as well as Laura Solon (“Hot in Cleveland”). The film will shoot in Atlanta this spring with Paramount distributing on December 9, 2016.
Best-known for creating the Geico Cavemen (as well as their short-lived TV show) and the 2007 hit Blades of Glory, Gordon and Speck most recently helmed several episodes of the Netflix series “Flaked” with Will Arnett.
Bateman will next be heard as one of the lead characters in Disney Animation’s Zootopia and will have a co-starring role in the Deep Throat biopic Felt. Aniston, who also worked with Bateman on the two Horrible Bosses movies as well as The Break-Up, will next star in Gary Marshall’s Mother’s Day on April 29.
