Seth Rogen, Bill Hader, and Zach Galifianakis join astronaut comedy
TheWrap brings word that comedians Seth Rogen, Bill Hader and Zach Galifianakis have all signed on for the astronaut comedy The Something. Rodney Rothman (22 Jump Street, Grudge Match) wrote the script and will direct, making it his feature debut. The Something centers on a group of male astronauts stuck in space for several years before they finally discover another ship.
Seth Rogen will produce the film along with partners Evan Goldberg and James Weaver through their Point Grey Pictures. Good Universe’s Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake will executive produce.
Rogen can next be seen in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, with his recent credits including Kung Fu Panda 3, The Night Before, and Steve Jobs. Hader, who last year appeared in Trainwreck, provided a voice in Inside Out, and was a voice consultant for the droid BB-8 in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, can next be heard in The Angry Birds Movie and The BFG. He previously appeared with Rogen in Superbad, Knocked Up and Pineapple Express.
Galifianakis, most well known for The Hangover films, can be seen in the new TV series Baskets which just premiered on FX. He’ll also appear in Keeping Up with The Joneses later this year and will provide the voice for The Joker in The LEGO Batman Movie.
