The Criterion Collection’s closet videos are always a joy to watch, but most of the time I find myself watching and thinking to myself, “Damn, I would snatch up everything in sight.” Of course, most often the folks videoed in the closet are directors or actors and to get too greedy would be a bit gauche and inappropriate. However, open the doors to film fans such as the four brothers at the center of this year’s buzzed about documentary The Wolfpack and you get a bit of a different result.
Behaving as you or I would, the Angulo brothers at first look through the closet, adoring much of what they see and placing each item back on the shelf. About midway through, however, they are told they are allowed to actually take whatever titles they want… EUREKA!
