We’re in the midst of an era where the film hitting theaters in the near future isn’t as exciting as the film that hasn’t been made yet and today we have another example as “Los Angeles Times” writer Amy Kaufman tweets out news Rebel Wilson tells her there will be a Pitch Perfect 3 and that she’s already signed on to star, though she isn’t sure if Anna Kendrick is also on board just yet. Woo? Hoo?
I wasn’t the biggest fan of Pitch Perfect, certainly not like the masses that ate it up with a spoon and are slobbering for the arrival of Pitch Perfect 2, but who am I to ruin the fun?
The Barden Bellas are back in the sequel in which supporting actor Elizabeth Banks takes the helm as the girls are now graduating seniors and it’s time to sort out what’s next in their lives. I guess the third one would head off to college, which would make sense if all the stars of the first two weren’t to return, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.
For now, Pitch Perfect 2 arrives on May 15, here’s a new clip that aired during last night’s MTV Movie Awards.
