Julianne Moore slaps Madonna in Body of Evidence and Patricia Arquette gets backhanded by Freddy Krueger in Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors and these are just the first two clips in Falvorwire’s latest rundown of early roles played by this year’s Oscar nominees.
OBviously, this also means the inclusion of early roles by Mark Ruffalo, Bradley Cooper, J.K. Simmons, Emma Stone, Rosamund Pike, Ethan Hawke, Michael Keaton, Robert Duvall, Edward Norton, Laura Dern, Keira Knightley, Meryl Streep, Steve Carell, Benedict Cumberbatch, Eddie Redmayne, Marion Cotillard, Felicity Jones and Reese Witherspoon.
What’s most interesting about this, to me at least, are seeing some of the films these actors starred in and I had no idea, a distinction Eddie Redmayne appears to dominate with roles in The Good Shepherd, Elizabeth: The Golden Age and The Other Boleyn Girl, which, coincidentally also starred Beendict Cumberbatch.
