We now have an even 20 screenplays available for download as Walt Disney Pictures has released the script for James Lapine‘s adaptation of his and Stephen Sondheim‘s musical Into the Woods. As of right now I have this screenplay just below the bubble line in my Adapted Screenplay predictions and I almost moved it into the field of nominees considering how little I think of Unbroken and still can’t believe it’s a screenplay the Coen brothers had any hand in crafting.
For the most part that fifth slot is wide open right now, but I think my top four of The Imitation Game, The Theory of Everything, Gone Girl and Wild feel like safe calls for nominations. (By the way, all four of those scripts are available below as well.) Give Lapine’s Into the Woods script a once over and see what you think, the film hits theaters on Christmas Day.
