Even though my opinion of Skyfall has diminished rather significantly since writing my rather passive “B” review, the James Bond franchise remains as one of the few blockbuster franchises I’m actually still looking forward to seeing more from and more we shall get. The official James Bond Facebook page announced today that on Thursday, December 4 at 11 AM GMT (6 AM EST / 3 AM PST) at 007.com, the title and cast of the new Bond movie, currently referred to as Bond 24, will be announced.
We already know Sam Mendes is returning to direct with Daniel Craig back as Bond, Ralph Fiennes back as M, Naomie Harris back as Moneypenny, Ben Whishaw back as Q and Rory Kinnear returning as Tanner. Meanwhile, Léa Seydoux is expected to play the film’s femme fatale, Dave Bautista to play a henchman with Christoph Waltz rumored to be playing Blofeld, a rumor I don’t expect this coming announcement to confirm, though I expect he will be confirmed as a member of the film’s cast.
Principal photography begins Monday, December 8 with the production set to take place in Italy, Morocco, the Austrian Alps, Mexico and London, all for a November 6, 2015 release. I guess there’s a date I can anticipate.
