Universal Picks Up Sorkin’s Steve Jobs Movie with Boyle and Fassbender Still Attached

Sony recently placed Aaron Sorkin‘s untitled Steve Jobs movie into turnaround, but at the time that news was released it was also made known Universal was expected to pick it up. Today that became a reality as THR reports Universal now distribute the film, picking it up for a reported $30 million, and director Danny Boyle and star Michael Fassbender are still attached. Fassbender will play Jobs while Seth Rogen also remains attached to play Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.

The film, which Sorkin wrote based on Walter Isaacson‘s Steve Jobs biography, will focus on three moments in Jobs’ life, that being the Mac, NeXT and iPod product launches. For more on everything that led to the film’s current status click here for my previous report.

There is no word on when production is likely to begin.
