Christian Bale has been confirmed for the lead role in Danny Boyle‘s Steve Jobs biopic with a screenplay written by Aaron Sorkin and now starring opposite him as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will be Seth Rogen. It would appear Rogen is hoping for a similar career transformation that Jonah Hill found when he starred in Moneyball, another Sorkin-penned feature that earned Hill an Oscar nomination.
Additionally, The Wrap reports Jessica Chastain is in talks for a role in the film, though the role is yet to be confirmed.
The confirmation that Bale will be in the film came from Sorkin directly who added, “He has more words to say in this movie than most people have in three movies combined… There isn’t a scene or a frame that he’s not in. And there’s a tremendous amount of language. So it’s an extremely difficult part and he is gonna crush it.”
Sorkin began work on the screenplay back in The Daily Beast:
“I hope I don’t get killed by the studio for giving too much away, but this entire movie is going to be three scenes, and three scenes only. That all take place in real time. Real time is when a half hour for you in the audience is the same as a half hour for the character on the screen, there will be no time cuts and each will take place before a product launch. Backstage before a product launch. The first one being the Mac, the second one being NeXT after he had left Apple and the third one being the iPod.”
