Magnolia sent over this trailer for Life Partners (VOD on 11/6) and lists the cast as Leighton Meester, Gillian Jacobs, Adam Brody, Kate McKinnon and Gabourey Sidibe. I watch the trailer and, unless I’m blind, I’m not seeing McKinnon.
McKinnon is one of the best things about “Saturday Night Live” right now and has recently landed a small role in The Nest with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and will also be providing voice work for the Angry Birds movie. I’m curious to see where she can take her career beyond “SNL” because so many SNLers get trapped into making crappy little comedies and then falling by the way side while I think McKinnon just might have something more to offer than amazing Billy Jean King impressions.
So here’s the trailer for Life Partners, in which I assume McKinnon probably has a very brief cameo role, I just wish we could get a taste of what it may be.
