I absolutely love everything about this new clip from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. The effects are flawless to the point you don’t even question them, you only marvel at the scene with a sense of dread, more so for those of us that remember the Koba character from Rise of the Planet of the Apes, when he was played by Christopher Gordon.
In the sequel he’s played by Toby Kebbell and, well, just give it a watch for yourself.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes hits theaters on July 11.

Set 15 years after the events of 2011’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will focus on a growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar (Andy Serkis), threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
