Over the weekend news broke that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may be ready to reteam for a new movie since starring in 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the movie that contributed to the collapse of Pitt’s marriage with Jennifer Aniston and lit the fire on the Brangelina train.
There are no official details on the project other than it’s from a script written by Jolie and THR reports “insiders speculate it could be a relationship drama that Jolie wrote several years ago. That project centered on a couple with issues who take a vacation in a last-ditch effort to save their marriage.”
Jolie, who wrote and made her directorial debut on In the Land of Blood and Honey is back in the director’s chair again this year with the presumed Oscar favorite Unbroken, but there is no word on whether she is considering directing this film as well, or how close it even is to becoming a possibility.
